Are you noticing any challenges with your child’s attention and concentration?

Might this be a sign of ADHD?

When attention and focus become a daily battle, it can cast a shadow over your child’s potential. You might witness them grappling with schoolwork, struggling to follow simple instructions, finding it hard to connect with friends, or even managing their emotions. It’s more than just ‘not paying attention’ – it can impact their learning, their friendships, and their overall well-being.

If these scenarios sound all too familiar, you might be asking if ADHD is impacting your child. We understand your concerns. To help you recognize potential signs, consider these important questions – often called ‘red flags’ for attention and focus challenges:

DOES YOUR CHILD OFTEN:

  • Struggle to listen and/or follow instructions consistently, requiring frequent repetition?
  • Become easily distracted from tasks, even when it’s something they usually enjoy?
  • Have difficulty with multi-step tasks or remembering more than one instruction at a time?
  • Actively avoid tasks that require prolonged mental effort, like homework or reading?
  • Act impulsively, blurting out answers or interrupting conversations and activities?
  • Have poorly organized thoughts and materials, making it hard to keep track of belongings or ideas?
  • Need things repeated because they didn’t seem to absorb information the first time?
  • Show significant impatience, struggling with waiting their turn or delayed gratification?
  • Have trouble sitting still, constantly fidgeting or seeming restless even when expected to be calm?
  • Consistently struggle to maintain focus, even during one-on-one interactions or engaging activities?

If you find yourself answering ‘Yes’ to four or more of these ‘Red Flag’ behaviors, it’s a strong indication that your child could benefit from targeted support for their attention and focus. This isn’t about blame or labels; it’s about understanding their unique needs and unlocking their full potential. We’re here to help you explore the possibilities.

Success Stories

Avril’s Amazing Transformation

Avril was not engaging in activities after school and was found napping after school. She needed a better routine and we will be forever grateful that my friend recommended BEC.

After the initial test, we found out why Avril was under performing.

Now, she thoroughly enjoys her time at BEC and Trainer Emy. They teach her that it’s okay to be frustrated. The key is to keep trying. She has improved dramatically with social interaction and being independent.

She has really come out of her shell and she continues to take on challenges with a confidence she didn’t have before. I am extremely proud of her progress and the support she has at BEC.

Thank you to the whole team!

Improved Attention and Academic Success

Before brain training, I was having a hard time in school. My grades in Math was low and I missed deadlines because I forgot to do them.

When brain training started, my grades started to rise and I passed more tasks before the deadline. I was also more attentive in class which helped me recall lessons and pass my tests more often. Now, I am more responsible when there are school work and I perform better at school. Aside from school improvements, I have better aim now in my video games.

I am very thankful to BEC for helping me achieve my goals.

Frequently Asked Questions

ADHD (Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder) is a neurodevelopmental condition that can affect attention, focus, impulsivity, and hyperactivity. Brain Exercise Club offers comprehensive cognitive skills assessments to understand the underlying cognitive factors contributing to these challenges. We then provide personalized, research-based programs to strengthen these core cognitive skills, leading to improved attention, focus, and overall learning.

Our programs are typically suitable for children from around 5 or 6 years old and up. The specific age appropriateness depends on the individual child's developmental stage and ability to engage with the training exercises. We conduct an initial assessment to determine if our programs are a good fit for your child.

Our assessment is a comprehensive evaluation that takes about 1 hour to complete. It's designed as a series of engaging "brain games" to assess key cognitive skills like attention, memory, processing speed, reasoning, and visual/auditory processing. This helps us identify your child's unique cognitive profile and pinpoint specific areas of strength and weakness that may be contributing to their attention and focus struggles.

We understand your concern. The assessment is specifically designed to be engaging and non-stressful, presented as a series of interactive brain games rather than a traditional test. Our trained brain trainers create a comfortable and supportive environment for your child.

After the assessment, our Center Director will personally explain the results to you in detail, providing clear insights into your child's cognitive profile. You will also receive a comprehensive written report outlining these findings. Based on the results, we will recommend the most suitable research-based program and personalized approach to help your child.

You can easily schedule an assessment by messaging or calling us at +639563121212, filling out the Book an Assessment form, or emailing us at brainexerciseclub@gmail.com. We'll be happy to answer any further questions and find a convenient time for your child's assessment.

Brain Exercise Club is located at the heart of BF Homes Paranaque City. You can find a map and detailed directions here.
